LetaMarieDesigns

It's Friday, that means it's time for our next new featured artisan and giveaway. This weeks comes the ever fabulous and immensely wonderful Leta from LetaMarieDesigns. I first met Leta when I was running a guild on Artfire. I have featured her designs in my Artfire features. This week she is donating a beautiful pair of earrings, just for commenting on this blog!

Leta describes these gorgeous earrings as being, "... made of 17mm Antique Silver Plated Flower Charm, Sterling Silver Chain & Jump Rings, and 4mm Swarovski Crystals in Light & Dark Sapphire. They hang 1-3/8" from the bottom of the Sterling Silver Ear Wires. These are Very Lightweight."  You can tell they are just simply gorgeous and would be a great accent to any outfit.

Leta has such delightful objects in her studio on Artfire and Zibbet. She first started making jewelry with promptings from her daughter. After her daughter bought her a set of tools, Leta learned how to make a loop above a bead. This has led her down a path of beautiful jewelry designs. Currently she makes a lot of earrings, but has made some simple necklaces in the past with intents of adding to her talents by learning new skills this summer.

In response to what she wanted others to know about her work, Leta says this, "I love variety and that is what I try to have in my shop. I still have more to learn and I work real hard at making my items the best they can be. My daughter says I am too much of a perfectionist. It is important to me that my customers get quality work at an affordable price. I use only Sterling Silver, Gold Filled, & Surgical Steel Ear Wires as most people with metal sensitivities (such as my daughter) can wear these comfortably. When I can afford to I will also use niobium and titanium. I love what I am doing so much and hope someday it can be my only occupation. I have also so enjoyed meeting other wonder artists through networking and making new friends, such as Tammy!" (blushing, there.)

Leta has lots of places where you can view her work or hook up with her and chat. She is on Twitter, Facebook, and My Craft Corner, all excellent places to socialize! Her work is available on Artfire and Zibbet, too, just in case you can't wait to win something. You can also catch her blog on Artfire.

Next week we will be featuring Daisy Mae Hats. Stay tuned...
