EDIT: Thanks to everyone that retweeted, facebooked, and replied! I have found my interviewee. I am glad that I have the social network that I have and each and every one of you make life so very special! You have given me the opportunity to continue my career in education, armed with knowledge to support your individual child in their educational careers.
Hello everyone. I don't publicize it very often, but I am engaged in courses to obtain my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I am currently in a course that educates educators about Special Education law, policies, and procedures. It is essential that educators like myself learn about these situations and the unique needs of all of our students so that we can provide them with the necessary environment they deserve. In this course, I must interview a parent or child (if child is of an appropriate age and understanding) about their experiences with special education. This interview is conducted on the most sensitive of levels, with accurate and complete quotations given to the parent. Your name and child's name can be anonymous using pseudo names in place of actual names. I do not personally know anyone that fits this description that I have current contact with. So if you are interested in participating in this interview, it would immensely appreciated. I am sorry, but I cannot provide monetary incentive as this is for a school project and strictly not allowed. This is only as a special favor to myself and to provide me with insight into the best way to educate special needs children! If you would like to provide me with an interview, please email me at fantasydreamknits [at] gmail [dot] com. This paper is due Monday, June 21 and I will need your responses no later than Saturday, June 19. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteIf you need anything more, please let me know. I have a daughter who is hard of hearing and is getting ready to go to Kindergarten. (I also used to be a teacher before children.) We have dealt with Early Intervention and Child Find and are working our way to get her what she needs for Kindergarten.
