HAF Blog Ring - Kazumi

My 2-yr-old son watches a program called Umi Zoomi on Nick. He loves it and even cries when it is not on! The week's featured artisan brings out the kid in me with her playful designs, including sock monkey purses and amigurumi characters.





If you love all things sock monkey, this is the place to visit. Kazumi lives in Japan, but ships to us here in the US. You can find Kazumi on her Etsy site, in Zazzle, Cafepress, Twitter, and Facebook. Ha! My girls seen my post and started screaming, "Ohhhh, sock monnnnnkeeeey!"

    Hi, Forgive me, but I can not remember if your first name is Kim or Tammy! My bad!! How are you doing? Your work on here is so beautiful, I am so excited over your offer, OMG!!! Too generous! Girl, if my scale is correct, I have lost now 132 lbs. Blows me mind I am here to tell you. I only have about 60 something to go to get to my goal weight now. WOW! HUGE big deal. I am using lots of shawls now, jackets and sweaters are to much trouble. I have been spending so much time in thrifts stores taking in clothes that don't fit and going from one thrift store to another trying to find clothing to fit me. I am thrilled about getting the weight off, but finding clothing has been a struggle. I am not gaining weight back, no matter what. I WILL problem solve!
    I would LOVE a hand knitted shawl by you, Oh, I can not thank you enough for your offer, what a blessing!!! What colors do you have in stock? There are certain colors I am not wearing anymore, I think they aren't best on me, like black looks too harsh on me. I love shawls, they are so versatile and roll up and can fit in my purse, for dropping weight they still fit me and work with lots of outfits. Super easy to sew too. What are the thread weights or yarn weights do you have? Tell me your thoughts on this......I would love to hear them...

    My kids love Umi Zoomi too, their songs get stuck in my head and thank goodness for my DVR so I can provide them with episodes even when my on demand doesn't have them. I'm sure they woudl go crazy for the sock monkeys if I let them see them... lol
