Bad news

I just received news that my stepdad had emergency surgery last night to remove a tumor on his colon. They had to remove the entire left side of his colon and will be out of work for 6 weeks. After those 6 weeks he will have reconstuctive surgery to repair his colon. They have not told us yet if the tumor was malignant or not. If it was, then he is facing chemo along with everything else.

He is the breadwinner for their household. They do have insurance for the hospital stay and surgery, but they have no short-term disability for his stay out of work. My mom has a bad back and cannot work. They just moved into a new rental home. This all comes at such a bad time for everyone involved.

I will be donating 100% of the sales from any items in my studio to my mom to help pay for expenses and necessities. Begin to look for some scarves, shawls, and other quick items to arrive in my studio. I will also be setting up a donation tab for anyone interested in helping out. The donations will go directly to my Paypal studio, so look for it to arrive soon on the right-hand side of my blog. Thanks in advance for any prayers or help that you can afford.

  3. Thanks so much for the well wishes. I am going to go see him at the hospital tomorrow. He wasn't up to visitors today. Everything is much appreciated!
