Set your house on Artfire for Spring cleaning

Well...it's Monday. Had a good but disappointing weekend. Watched the new release of "Twilight: New Moon" and am completely intoxicated with Edward for the next few days. As cute as Jacob is, I would have to say that Edward is more likely the kind of guy I'd have gone for in high school. A bad boy with a tragic story and irresistable eyes. Jacob is certainly eye candy, though. Anyway, back on to the real reason for this post.

How do you like the title? There are times that instead of cleaning I think it'd be so much easier to just push it all out the door and start over again. Saving, of course, the Blu-Ray and the computers. Oh, and all my art supplies. So instead of doing that, I am bringing you some lovely Artfire items to give you a little pep in your spring cleaning marathon.

Andrus Gardens Quilts

This is a quilt. Yep, I thought it was a delightful spring painting myself, but it is indeed a quilt made with appliques and free form quilting. Impressive? Imagine this piece of Artwork in your home. What a conversation piece.

Night  Owl Crafts

These lovely little birds are inviting you to share in their flower draped home. Every time you are stuck inside cleaning, you can look out through your windows and to the sun beyond. Here, you will catch a glimpse of these happy bluebirds whistling while you work. Hopefully they'll inspire you to stop washing the dishes and grab an ice tea to head outside with. Did you really need much prompting?

And speaking of that tea...how about putting it in this pitcher? This is so lovely. The branches are filled with promise of newly blossomed flowers that will eventually turn into leaves. Celebrate spring in grandeur. (Did I mention she has glasses to match?!?)

This card is so surreal. It seems like the fairy is about to step right off the front of the page and into your home. This would be such a delightful gift for that dear friend you would like to share a spring wish with. Forget the cleaning and write a note to that someone you love and hope to see this springtime.

Schwidle Shop

I can see these pots brimming with assorted colors of flowers like poppies, violets, and daisies. What a beautiful way to celebrate spring. Also, since we're on the subject, wouldn't these make a lovely Mother's Day present?

And as a final personal testament to my own gardening skills, this lovely tombstone shaped garden marker is the perfect sentiment! My mother and I joke about my ability to let a plant near death and then I get to play the resurrecter and try like crazy to bring it back to life. It's cruel, I know, but it's the truth. So get this while it lasts.

I hope you enjoyed your little foray into my blog. It gave you a chance to laugh and quit cleaning, right? Now, get that pitcher and those glasses, pour a glass of tea, go outside, and think about what you will do later. Or tomorrow. Or maybe NEXT spring.

  1. Thank you for featuring my item on your blog. This card is more beautiful in person, and you have it just right! It does look like the fairy will step right off into your home. The receiver of this card will be very happy with it, and the best part about my cards is that most people frame them and showcase them in their homes.

  3. I bet that card is just gorgeous in person. I see so many card makers every day and it really takes one that stands out to catch my attention! I'm not a card person normally. I'm one of those annoying "I'll email you" people. ;-) But this would make me want to send someone something special.

And I agree - I love the cherry blossoms. It reminds me of my property where the dogwood blossoms send out a natural perfume every spring. Takes me to daydream area.
